Financial Gurus
In this course, students will learn about fiscal responsibility and how to prepare for the future. Using a fun, hands-on stock market simulator, students will start out with $1,000,000 of play money to test their skills and see how much they can earn! Our goal will be to introduce and explore financial strategies to learn the basics of responsible investing, saving and budgeting. We will explore conducting business with integrity, promoting ethical conduct, compliance with financial regulations along with concepts of risk and reward. Students will develop a deeper understanding of stocks, 401K's/IRA's (traditional and Roth), tax implications, budgeting, checking, savings, bonds and more!

with Chess
The ancient game of Chess has no rival as a catalyst for growth! In this program, teens will learn how to play chess, look at the big picture as they plan ahead several moves, and verbalize strategies as they grow in valuable critical thinking skills and leadership development. Whether you win or lose at the game, everyone wins on the chess battlefield that mirrors real life obstacles and challenges! Through the game of chess we will discuss problem solving and strategy beyond the chess board.
